Winterbleed
I haven't received a preludes invite yet, so I'm only aware of the game because of my time in Warframe and because I love DE. With that being said, I feel absolutely starved for information about Soulframe. I realize that access to the Preludes build is opening up soon but if I wasn't already aware, my engagement level in the game would be nil. I'm playing The First Descendant right now, only because I would rather be playing Soulframe and can't. I can't really play Warframe anymore because MS has taken away some use of my left hand and some of my cognitive function, so bullet jumping and navigating the current state of Warframe respectively are incompatible with my limitations. 2 points to my whine-post, then: 1) People not-in-the-know are VERY not-in-the-know right now and Soulframe needs an info and marketing push. 2) Wow, do I ever hope that Soulframe doesn't adopt some movement or combat meta that requires anything like the constant crouch-jump-crouch-jump-etc of Warframe's bullet jump. Just "move joystick up to run" please! My hand cries in pain :(
Sintax
The invitations have definitely gone out today. Might be that they're sending them out in chunks to various cohorts, so we'll get them when we get them. WRT marketing, I'd actually like to push back a little on this. It's been my experience that games that market early are hyping a product they don't yet have. All kinds of things change over the course of development that to establish expectations early means setting up gamers for disappointment upon release (and all the acrimony/negative reviews that follow). A game cannot compete with dreams and best intentions, nor can it compete with people's imaginations, which tend to run wild once the hype train begins. Studios are simply better off keeping everything that isn't final under wraps. There won't be any broken promises that way. We need only look at the graveyard of crowdfunded games to understand why hyping games is a bad idea.
